RA health log. So much for updating the blog once a week while I was gone, but I did enjoy the time away from the computer. I also did get plenty of exercise in while we were in Europe. I really can not believe how much walking I did in Dublin. It was great! I am really amazed how much I was able to stay on my feet this trip compared to last year. My sister told me when I first got on Enbrel that I will be amazed at how much better I feel each year that I am on it and she was right.
I did have some slight stiffness in my feet and some tenderness in my knees. Both went away quickly and were a 1 on the pain scale. I did do two shots before I left since I was going to be gone two weeks. I am not sure that it really stayed in my system for the full two weeks and I think next time I will just do the one shot. I have not had any shots since then because of some congestion. I learned last year to make sure there is no congestion, my sister had some but thought she had cleared up enough to do her shot so she did and it got much worse. She ended up on breathing treatments and was miserable, so I learned from her mistake.
I spent the last week catching up on some work. Yesterday I got myself back in the Wii Fit routine, I did 30 minutes of Rhythm Boxing.
Day 65 of my RA health log. My shoulders were not tender this morning and the stiffness in my back is improving. When I woke up I did have slight stiffness in my knees and that went away quickly. No other pain or stiffness.
I did 40 minutes of Wii Rhythm Boxing today and then walked around at the fair for about 45 minutes.
I had a Starbucks venti mocha for breakfast and had steak and potatoes for dinner. I also had some elephant ear and a bite of a fried Oreo at the fair. Still doing the high antioxidant chocolate.
Day 63 of my RA health log. This morning I woke up with my back still stiff, all across the top of my back from shoulder to should down to the middle of my back. Again I did not notice any tenderness in my shoulders today because my back hurt more. Knees were fine today, ankle felt a little stiff this evening.
I did 40 minutes of Wii Rhythm Boxing and 20 minutes of a combine random routine that is a combination of yoga and strengthening exercises.
I had to run out to do errands first thing today so I had a Starbucks venti mocha on the way. I had leftover chicken with macaroni salad and some chips for dinner. Tonight I topped off with some Cold Stone Creamery Founder’s Favorite which was yummy.
Day 62 of my RA health log. This morning I hardly noticed the tenderness in my shoulders, my back muscles were stiff and more noticeable. Moved around often last night to reduce pain. I noticed my knees being stiff off and on the last few weeks around a 1 on the pain scale most of the time, sometimes up to a 2. My back, shoulders and neck have been the worse. But I am still doing pretty good and staying active, the boxing does seem to help reduce the stiffness.
Today I did 40 minutes of Wii Rhythm Boxing. I am getting ready to do 20 more minutes of Wii but going to try something different,
Today I made me a latte for breakfast and had leftover chicken and chips for dinner.
Day 40 of my RA health log. Still waking up with tenderness in the shoulders and some stiffness in the knees. It does go away as I start moving around. Also breathing issues are almost gone.
Today I did 90 minutes of Rhythm Boxing on the Wii Fit Plus.
I had a Starbucks venti mocha for breakfast. Dinner was a cookout at my dads, I had chicken, macaroni salad, chips and dip.
