Rheumatoid Arthritis Health Log

I am in Los Angeles visiting my boyfriend. We went to Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon. and Yosemite National Park to take some pictures. So I did get more exercise this last week. We are back at his house and last night I went for a walk with him and Buddy.

My feet did swell up after a walk down and then back up a hill in Sequoia and the pain was around a 3. The next morning they were fine.  When we went to Yosemite they got a little swollen by the end of the day but just a 1 on the pain scale. I am still dealing with back pain if I do not take the three  Flexeril.

I have noticed more sweet cravings since I started on the Flexeril.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Health Log

RA health log. So much for updating the blog once a week while I was gone, but I did enjoy the time away from the computer. I also did get plenty of exercise in while we were in Europe. I really can not believe how much walking I did in Dublin. It was great! I am really amazed how much I was able to stay on my feet this trip compared to last year. My sister told me when I first got on Enbrel that I will be amazed at how much better I feel each year that I am on it and she was right.

I did have some slight stiffness in my feet and some tenderness in my knees. Both went away quickly and were a 1 on the pain scale. I did do two shots before I left since I was going to be gone two weeks. I am not sure that it really stayed in my system for the full two weeks and I think next time I will just do the one shot. I have not had any shots since then because of some congestion. I learned last year to make sure there is no congestion, my sister had some but thought she had cleared up enough to do her shot so she did and it got much worse. She ended up on breathing treatments and was miserable, so I learned from her mistake.

I spent the last week catching up on some work. Yesterday I got myself back in the Wii Fit routine, I did 30 minutes of Rhythm Boxing.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Health Log Day 50

Day 50 of my RA health log. Tenderness and stiffness in shoulders and back are still improving. Slight breathing issues during the evening. Fingers and feet stiffen up a little off and on.

I did 1 hour of Wii Rhythm Boxing today.

Dinner was a Strawberry Pecan Salad with grilled chicken, it was yummy. I had a latte for breakfast and some root beer during the day.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Health Log Day 46

Day 46 of my RA health log. My shoulders were were tender when I woke up, it went away when I moved around. But I did have stiffness in my back most of the day. My feet were sore a little today but better tonight then they were last night. My hands and shoulders stiffened up a little while I was holding the camera for a long period. I was doing videos and not photos, so I had to hold it up longer then when I do photos. Breathing issues are better here then it was in Indiana but still slight issues when outside, inside I am fine.

My exercise today was walking around the conference. I may do some boxing tonight before I go to bed, try to stretch those muscles out.

I had a Starbucks venti mocha for lunch. This evening I had garlic cream fettuccine with chicken and then some Cold Stone ice cream with my boyfriend.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Health Log Day 45

Day 45 of my RA health log.  Today I woke up and had tender shoulders which went away when I started moving around. I have had stiffness in my upper back, luckily my boyfriend can help crack my back. We spent the day at VidCon 2010 and my hands did stiffen up a little while holding the camera for a long time, it went away when I stopped. Now it is the end of  the day and my feet have been a little sore.  I will have my feet up soon.

My exercise was walking around at a conference today.

I had a latte for breakfast and a Starbucks venti mocha for lunch. Tonight I had chicken marsala with mushrooms and noodles for dinner.

Biotinidase Deficiency Not RA

Diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in Dec 2003 because of joint pain and fatigue. Found out on July 19, 2013 that I really was profoundly low on Vitamin B7 because of a rare disease called Biotinidase Deficiency. When I found out I was very weak, hardly could get out of bed, could not turn my head without getting light headed, dragging my feet when I tried to walk, struggled to breath daily for years and was having many many other issues. From the first 24 hours of taking Biotin my symptoms started to disappear and my body started getting stronger again.
